Project Manager (Office of Education Research) [3 Years Contract]

  • The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Project Manager on a 3-years contract (with a possibility of renewal) with the Office of Education Research (OER).

    The project aims to understand (a) how early mathematical skills develop and (b) how variation in childhood parenting practices influences children’s development in working memory and numeracy. Using both behavioural and neuroimaging methods, we will collect cross-sectional and longitudinal data from a large sample of preschool children. The information generated will be used to help identify and develop intervention for children with difficulties in early numeracy. We are interested in having suitably qualified candidate to join us as Project Officer.

    • A University degree 
    • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent organizational skills and able to work within given deadlines
    • Knowledge and experience with project management
    • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision 
    • Prior experience in a research project management role
    • Experience in working with teachers and students in Singapore
    • Manage the scheduling of research staff
    • Processing of claims, purchasing, and other project related administrative duties
    • Communicate regularly with key stakeholders, teachers, parents, academic and research staff to ensure smooth operations
    • Efficient organization of all project documentation
    • Provide consultancy and information on projects requirements, financial and administrative policies and processes to research teams
    • Manage existing and new administration policies and SOPs in accordance with the grant funding agencies’ and institute’s regulations
    • Manage  project records, database and amendment requests
    • Generate reports for management meetings
    • Facilitate meetings including record-keeping and taking minutes of meetings
    • Perform other tasks as required by the Principal Investigators
