What is GSC2016?

The Graduate Student Conference, or GSC, is an annual event managed by the Office of Graduate Studies and Professional Learning (GPL) of the National Institute of Education (NIE). It is an event organised by graduate students, for graduate students.

This year, the GSC at NIE will be held on Saturday, 15 October 2016, at the NIE.

GSC2016 is open to all graduate students, including those from outside of NIE. In fact, we encourage all students who are interested in interacting with other graduate students and in sharing their research work to participate.

And, Registration is free! So, do come and join us!

There are different ways you may participate in this event. You may either present an oral paper, a poster, or participate in the competitive 3-minute thesis. Alternatively, you may wish to just join in as a participant, enjoy the talks and workshops, interact with other students, and soak in the atmosphere.

What is it like?

At this conference, graduate students from different disciplines and areas of study get together to share their research work, get feedback from their peers or faculty members, and interact with one another. Last year, this event was still known by its original name, the Graduate Student Day, or GSD. From this year onwards, this event will be called the Graduate Student Conference.
