Events Details

Adam Scott, international golfer, patron and founder of the The Adam Scott Foundation, will visit NIE on 18 February 2011. The foundation was established in Australia in 2005, and in 2008, the Adam Scott Foundation Asia (ASFA) was established to create a long term sustainable organisation that will support and offer opportunities to young people in Asia.

In August 2009, the Adam Scott Foundation Asia Scholarship programme was launched in partnership with Nanyang Technological University (NTU). The scholarship is designed to be a valuable resource to the students of NTU’s Sport Science and Management degree programme which is conducted by NIE, Singapore. The scholarship provides recognition to talented, deserving students who are highly motivated to excel in the professional world of sport science and management.

The Sport Science and Management programme is the only degree programme in a publicly-funded university in Singapore that offers both academic and professional path-ways to sport related careers. Students will have an opportunity to interact with Adam Scott during his visit to find out more about his work in the foundation as well as his own sports experience.
