The National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore celebrates the graduation of 174 educators from its Management and Leadership in Schools Programme. They will receive their certificates and awards during the graduation ceremony on Wednesday, 24 July 2013 at NIE. Guest-of-Honour, Mr Wong Siew Hoong, Deputy Director–General of Education (Curriculum), Ministry of Education will be gracing the event.

About the MLS

The Management and Leadership in Schools (MLS) programme aims to develop middle level leaders to expand their roles beyond departments and take on direct leadership for teaching and learning for the innovative school. The core emphasis in this programme is collaborative learning. Key features of the MLS programme are: Diversity of learning experiences designed to generate new knowledge; design of innovative curriculum for schools; flexibility in tailoring an individual programme by selecting courses that are of direct use; exposure to the insights of experts outside the NIE; and an overseas study trip of a week to widen the participants' horizons.
