Events Details

Nuclear Energy presently contributes about 15% of the World’s supply of electricity with minimal production of CO2 and other greenhouse gases. This course provides in-depth coverage of the relevant physics (basic nuclear physics, radioactive decay, radiation interactions, nuclear reactions, fission reactions, neutron physics, basic reactor physics and reactor control) together with a general overview of important aspects of nuclear energy systems, including: reactor technologies, nuclear safety and environmental aspects. The contribution that nuclear energy can make to a secure and sustainable future for electricity generation is explored.
