Time: 9.00am - 1.00pm

For those who have (developed and) administered a questionnaire and would like to assess its construct validity, attending this intensive hands-on workshop will provide answers to the questions: (a) Does the questionnaire measure what I intended it to measure? and (b) how reliable is it?

At the end of the session, participants would have gained the basic working knowledge needed to conduct a construct validation, reliability analyses and would have analysed their own datasets.

In this learning-by-doing training approach with little theory and lots of practice, participants will conduct the following analyses: (a) Confirmatory Factor Analysis in AMOS and (b) reliability analysis such as Cronbach’s alpha and coefficient H.

Participants must bring their own datasets for analysis, in addition to installing SPSS and AMOS * (advertised programmes) prior to attending the workshop.

Dr Jerome Rotgans is a Research Scientist with the Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice, NIE. Jerome has conducted many research and statistics workshops in Singapore and abroad. His workshops are hands-on and highly interactive.

Please register your attendance with the Office of Education Research at email: by 30 March 2011.

Registration is limited to 10 participants per session on a first-come-first-served basis.

This event is for NIE Staff only.
