The Financial Literacy Conference 2017: Expanding Possibilities

The Financial Literacy Conference 2017 will be held from 9 to 11 March 2017 in Singapore with the theme “Expanding Possibilities”.
A highlight of the conference will be the sharing by educators, researchers, and practitioners on current findings and innovations in the teaching of financial education to children and youth. The conference now opens a call for submissions.

Background

The Financial Literacy Conference 2017 will be held from 9 to 11 March 2017 in Singapore with the theme “Expanding Possibilities”.
A highlight of the conference will be the sharing by educators, researchers, and practitioners on current findings and innovations in the teaching of financial education to children and youth. The conference now opens a call for submissions.

Objectives

The Financial Literacy Conference 2017 aims to connect a global network and harness synergy to explore financial education issues at an international level, with the following objectives:

  • Provide an opportunity for educators, researchers, and practitioners to showcase and share best practices.
  • Serve as a platform for academicians and practitioners to interact and network, and make linkages between theory and practice.
  • Promote and facilitate collaborative research and exchange of resources for the teaching and learning of financial education.

Call for submission

The call for submission is now open for the following conference strands:

  • Theoretical and methodological issues for financial education
  • Financial education in the school curriculum
  • Extending financial education beyond the curriculum
  • Harnessing technology for financial education
  • Assessment of financial education programmes

In addition to the above themes, submissions can be according to special interest group (SIG):

  • Early childhood education
  • Primary education
  • Secondary education
  • Post-secondary and tertiary education
