The Olympics are coming!

Singapore hosts the Inaugural Youth Olympic Games from 14 to 26 August 2010.  As the Youth Olympic Games Village, our campus is housing olympiads before, after, and between their events. Our guests will use all of our classrooms, courtyards, and cafes and therefore Learning Sciences Lab office operations  will go online and off-campus. Staff will work from the comfort of home, communicate online, and meet at coffee shops around the island. Look for us wherever caffeine is sold ...

About the Youth Olympic Games Village

The village will occupy approximately 55 hectares, which is nearly the size of 80 football fields, and it is divided into two zones – the Residential Zone and the Village Square. The Residential Zone will house the athletes while the Village Square is the heart of the Village where most accredited personnel, including the guests of National Olympic Committees would have access to.  With a quiet and serene environment, the Games Village will be conducive and safe for the athletes to rest peacefully and prepare for competition.  In their free time, they can socialize freely and participate in Culture and Education Programme held at the Village Square.

The YOV will be operating from 10 to 28 Aug 2010 and the Games will be from 14 to 26 Aug 2010. More information on Youth Olympic Games, Singapore can be found at www.singapore2010.sg
