The award recognises the contributions of Malay Language teachers in the teaching and learning of Malay Language; who are exemplary in their efforts in promoting and enhancing the use of Malay Language; and who make a positive impact in students' lives.
Nominees are assessed based on:
a. Their ability to raise the knowledge, skills and interest in the learning of the Malay Language, literature and culture;
b. Their dedication and commitment to the pursuit of excellence in the teaching and learning of the Malay Language in the classrooms and beyond;
c. Their care and concern for the well-being and needs of the students; and
d. The display of the values of ‘Arif’ and ‘Budiman’ * through excellent service as a teacher.
* Arif Budiman – the learned person who contributes to society. The role of Malay Language instruction would be to equip each student with the attitude, skills and knowledge. View publicity poster
