On 8 August, NIE staff, alumni and students got together to celebrate Singapore’s National Day. A National Day Observance Ceremony was held, comprising a march-in by NIE staff and student-teachers, singing of the National Anthem, taking of the pledge, and National Day messages from Education Minister and NIE Director.
Following that, NIE’s pre-service teachers took to the runway to showcase their very own garment designs reflecting the NDP 2011 theme 'Majulah! The Singapore Spirit'.
