The NIE Club Award

The NIE Club Award, introduced in 2005 is to recognize NIE clubs that have significantly contributed to student life on campus and/or contributed to NIE in terms of promoting the brand name of NIE, and undertaking projects to serve the Institute community.  All clubs except the Trainee Teachers’ Club (TTC) are considered for the award.

The criteria for consideration are:

1.   Successful recruitment and participation of members
2.   Sustained activities for members
3.   Contribution towards developing a vibrant campus at NIE including successful collaboration with other clubs on campus
4.   Promoting the brand name of NIE through activities and projects


The period of review will be the current academic year.

3 awards are given each year to clubs which satisfy the criteria.  The awards are:

Gold

Silver

Bronze


All clubs that participate in the selection exercise will each get a certificate of recognition.

Winning clubs will receive a cash award to be used for club activities in the next academic year.  The cash award is valued at:

$500 for Gold

$300 for Silver

$200 for Bronze

A award selection board comprising Dean Foundation Programmes (FP) as Chairman, FP staff from Student Development & Liaison Unit, TTC and student teacher representatives as members will select winners for the award.
