INTERNATIONAL STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAMME

The International Student Exchange Programme allows trainee teachers to spend one or two semesters in an overseas university to read subjects which may be counted towards their course requirements in the Nanyang Technological University. However, the total number of credits transferred from other universities must not exceed 35% of the total number of academic units required for the degree. Marks obtained for the credits earned in other institutions do not count towards the total for the award of Honours or Pass with Merit.

The programme is open to all undergraduates. Those interested should speak to the Associate Dean for Degree and Diploma.

For foreign universities which have signed memoranda of understanding (MOU) with NTU, trainee teachers will enjoy a tuition fee waiver while studying there. This means that each trainee teacher will only have to pay for travel, accommodation and living expenses. There are a number of travel grants available to trainee teachers who need financial help and who have good academic and extra-curricular activity records.
