Aims of computer education for schools, the rationale and objectives of the syllabus, conceptual framework, organisation and sequencing, nature and principles of computing, lesson plan and preparation. The various instructional approaches appropriate for the teaching of computing, such as exposition, investigation, discussion, problem solving, hands-on activities and cooperative groupwork. The opportunity to practise teaching skills. Discussions on how emerging technologies can be used in the teaching process. |
