A/P Manu Kapur received the Outstanding Contribution to Education Award

A total of 30 Singapore school leaders and 5 senior educators from Brunei received their certificates for the Leaders in Education Programme (LEP) at a graduation dinner on 24 October 2014.

The LEP is a full-time executive six-month programme by the National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore for talented educators selected by the Ministry of Education, Singapore for school leadership. It focuses on innovation and the creation of new knowledge and stimulates the participants’ thinking through a series of challenging learning experiences. This includes working on a value-adding change initiative in an attachment school, dialogues with senior Education Ministry officials and an overseas study trip.

Amongst the 2014 cohort, two participants received awards for their outstanding performance from Minister for Education, Mr Heng Swee Keat. Mr Hoe Wee Meng, this year’s Valedictorian, received two awards for his best overall performance and highest performance in a Creative Action Project.
