BUILDING EDUCATIONAL BRIDGES (BEB): INNOVATION FOR SCHOOL LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME ON 20 MARCH 2008, 7.00PM AT NANYANG EXECUTIVE CENTRE, NANYANG TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY, 60 NANYANG VIEW, SINGAPORE 639673

Thirty principals from Singapore and Malaysia will receive their certificates of completion of Building Educational Bridges: Innovation for School Leadership Programme (BEB) on Thursday, 20 March 2008 at the Nanyang Executive Centre, Nanyang Technological University. Miss Seah Jiak Choo, Director-General of Education, Ministry of Education (MOE), Singapore is the Guest-of-Honour for this event.

BEB is a collaborative programme co-funded by the Ministries of Education of Singapore and Malaysia. The programme is conducted at both NIE, Singapore and Institut Aminuddin Baki, Malaysia. The programme focuses on innovation and change, sustaining innovation and managing resources. Fifteen school leaders were selected from each country to participate in the programme. Participants also visited selected schools in Malaysia and Singapore.

The BEB Programme is conducted from 13 to 20 March 2008, and it aims to:

  • Improve understanding of each other's educational systems and the context for leadership and its challenges;
  • Generate ideas on innovation and change for school improvement; and
  • Define routes for sustaining school leadership and innovation.

ABOUT THE INSTITUT AMINUDDIN BAKI (IAB) MALAYSIA

The Institut Aminuddin Baki (IAB) Malaysia also known as the Educational Management and Leadership Institute is a division of the Ministry of Education Malaysia. The Institute's main purpose is to train school leaders in Malaysia. IAB also provide training courses to school leaders in the region.
