THE CTA AWARD CEREMONY ON FRIDAY, 5 SEPTEMBER 2008, 1.30PM AT NTU ALUMNI CLUB, NANYANG TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY ALUMNI CLUB, 11 SLIM BARRACKS RISE (OFF NORTH BUONA VISTA ROAD), SINGAPORE
The Caring Teacher Awards (CTA) 2008, a biennial event, is jointly organised by the National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore and ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, with support from the Ministry of Education, Singapore. CTA was opened for nominations in April this year. The awards are aimed at acknowledging and rewarding those teachers in our schools who through their daily deeds and actions, exemplify the values of caring, sharing and concern for the academic, moral, social, emotional and mental welfare of their students. NIE received close to 2,000 nomination forms from 158 schools when the nominations closed.
The CTA award ceremony will be held on Friday, 5 September 2008, 1.30pm at the NTU Alumni Club. Mr Wong Siew Hoong, Director of Schools, Ministry of Education will be gracing the occasion as the Guest-of-Honour. Three recipients will be receiving the National Award and 11 will receive Award of Commendation. The winners and programme are detailed in Annexe A and B respectively.
