Dr Chow Jia Yi's Keynote Presentation and Published Book

Dr Chow Jia Yi, Assistant Dean at the Office of Teacher Education, and Associate Professor at the Physical Education and Sports Science Academic Group, was invited to give a keynote speech at the 1st Scientific Conference on Motor Skill Acquisition organised by the University of Jyvaskyla and Research Institute for Olympic Sports, Kisakallio, Finland, on 19-20 November 2015. Entitled "Nonlinear Pedagogy: An Insight into Pedagogical Principles for Effective Learning in Sports and Physical Education", Dr Chow shared empirical and experiential knowledge in the areas of motor skills and physical activity, including modern sport pedagogies and psychology at the conference. Dr Chow also published a book in December 2015 entitled "Nonlinear Pedagogy in Skill Acquisition: An Introduction” based on his project OER 21/14 CJY (Nonlinear Pedagogy and its Relevance for the New PE Curriculum).
