Thursday, 25 February 2016
Our congratulations to Dr Dennis Kwek, Assistant Dean of Research Communications at the Office of Education Research, for being the first Singaporean to be invited to sit on the Editorial Board of the American Educational Research Journal. The AERJ is the flagship journal of the American Educational Research Association, and features articles that advance the empirical, theoretical, and methodological understanding of education and learning.
“I’m very privileged to be invited to serve on the AERJ editorial board,” says Dr Kwek. “As a board member, I’m asked to review six to seven manuscripts a year, as well as offer advice when reviewers do not agree.”
Dr Kwek’s research expertise lies in classroom pedagogy, classroom talk and qualitative methods. He is also an Associate Editor for the Asia Pacific Journal of Education and Pedagogies – An International Journal.
“As I am actively involved in APJE and Pedagogies, this new role will help me to calibrate and enhance the quality of our NIE journals,” continues Dr Kwek. “I’m really looking forward to working with AERJ and will be meeting the board members at the American Educational Research Association Annual Meeting in April this year.”
