Dr Wong Lung Hsiang was invited as a guest speaker for the regular morning talk show (“早班新发现”) of FM95.8 (Capital Radio) on 31 July 2013,  to share his insights on the contemporary learning environments. He said that there is already an increased focus on nurturing teachers and developing technologies and pedagogies for the 21st century generation of students born to a technologically-advanced and new media friendly environment. This is to better establish curriculum architecture that would smarter tech users of tomorrow by reinforcing positive learning habits. Noting that while it is important to embrace technology, it is good to ensure that students do not over-rely on smart devices and PCs. Such as doing simple everyday tasks like counting, memorising and analysing which help to flex a child’s memory capacity. Dr Wong discussed the importance of even more parent-teacher collaborations that can further cultivate best practices on the home-front as well.
