Invited Keynote Address and PD Workshop by Dr Jennifer Pei-Ling Tan at Tanglin Trust School’s 2016 Staff Professional Development Day

Dr Jennifer Pei-Ling Tan, Assistant Dean (Knowledge Mobilisation) and Research Scientist in the Centre for Research in Pedagogy & Practice of the Office of Education Research, was invited to give the Keynote Address and conduct a professional development workshop at Tanglin Trust School’s 2016 Staff Professional Development Day from 17-18 August 2016. The keynote address was titled “Are More Heads Better Than One? Fostering Collaborative Creativity and Problem-Solving Success in Everyday Teaching and Learning Dialogues“. It was attended by about 250 school leaders, key personnel and teachers from infant, middle and senior schools within Tanglin Trust.
The workshop on “Evaluating the Impact of School-based Teaching and Learning Innovations” was attended by 30 key personnel and teacher-researchers of Tanglin Trust. These key personnel and teacher-researchers are currently leading a practice-based pedagogical innovation research project and the workshop generated much discussion and exchange of ideas.
