From January – April 2017, the Office of Education Research (OER) engaged former NIE staff and Head of the Mathematics and Mathematics Education (MME) Academic Group, Dr Wong Khoon Yoong to conduct a review of math-related projects for the period of the 2nd and 3rd tranches (2008 – 2017).

The aim of this review was to synthesize findings from OER math-related projects and generate insights that key stakeholders can use to improve future practices and policies. The review covered 27 projects from Tranche 2 and 16 projects from Tranche 3.

The findings of the review were summarized into a report with useful insights and recommendations for OER’s planning for the 4th tranche. They were also shared with OER and MME colleagues at a presentation by Prof Wong on 3 April, where there was opportunity for interaction and feedback.

A summary of the report can be downloaded here.
