NIE Chief Planning Officer Joins OECD Working Group

The
Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) invited NIE Chief Planning Officer (CPO), Prof Low Ee Ling, to the Working Group of The Future of Education and Skills: Education 2030 Project. This meeting was held on 23­–25 October 2017 at the OECD Headquarter in La Muette, Paris, France.

The objectives of the meeting were:

  1. To deepen the understanding of the key concepts and theoretical underpinnings of the Education 2030 Learning Framework (OECD Learning Compass 2030) and continue the global and collective co-creation of the framework towards international validation.
  2. To support peer-learning on curriculum redesign. The theme for in-depth discussion was on “Managing Time Lag between Today’s Curriculum and Future Needs”.
  3. To further the knowledge-base on curriculum redesign.
