Presented in conjunction with the Writers’ Centre, Singapore, Plays Out Loud, held on 12th September 2013showcased the work of ten first-time teacher playwrights who have been mentored in playwriting as part of their undergraduate coursework at the National Institute of Education.

In 2012 as part of their coursework for ACR421: Teaching Drama, the students were required to write a ten-minute play in order to experience for themselves the power of drama-based creative writing pedagogy in cultivating creative self-expression and personal voices in our classrooms. Out of the plays that were submitted, ten have been selected for this public presentation.
