Taiwan Delegation for Gifted and Talent Education Visits NIE

NIE hosted a delegation of 38 Taiwanese educators specializing in gifted and talent education on 28 September 2017. The delegation was led by Prof Ching-Chih Kuo from the Department of Special Education, National Taiwan Normal University.

Dr Tan Liang See sharing on talent development policies in Singapore

During their visit, NIE researchers from the Early Childhood and Special Education Academic Group (ECSE AG) and Office of Education Research (OER) respectively gave presentations on NIE programmes (pre-service and in-service) that equip educators to teach high-ability learners and talent development policies in Singapore. They were Dr Letchmi Ponnusamy, Lecturer, ECSE AG and Dr Tan Liang See, Assistant Dean, School Partnerships, OER.

Sharing on the gifted education landscape in Taiwan

Following the presentations by NIE researchers, Prof Kuo shared on the gifted education landscape in Taiwan and the training programmes that Taiwanese educators undergo to teach high-ability learners.
