Congratulations to Mdm Ruth Wong and Ast/P Timothy Hew from the Learning Sciences and Technologies Academic Group on being awarded the Best Published Journal Article in the International Journal of Web-Based Learning and Teaching Technologies for 2010. Their study entitled “The Impact of Blogging and Scaffolding on Primary School Pupils' Narrative Writing: A Case Study” investigated on whether the use of blogs and scaffolding improve pupils' narrative writing ability, and also explored the perception of primary school pupils’ perception of using blogs as a tool for writing.
The results of the study suggested that blogging and scaffolding can help improve pupils' narrative writing, and overall, pupils also prefer the use of blogs for writing as compared to pen and paper writing.
