This office was established on 1st July 2009 to provide leadership in articulating an AQM framework and philosophy to strengthen the academic quality of our programmes. It will work towards the development of a culture of self improvement in NIE academic programmes at different levels of self accountability – staff, academic groups, and programme offices, for purposes of programme improvements and accountability to the various stakeholders. Its role and function will very much be in the area of gathering evidence-based feedback through student teachers' satisfaction surveys of their learning experiences while in NIE, graduate preparedness for teaching in schools, and stakeholders’ feedback on those graduates to ensure fitness of preparation for workplace requirements.
