Programme Planning & Management (PPM) plans, manages and handles all operational administrative matters for existing Initial Teacher Preparation (ITP) programmes, namely the PGDE (JC, Primary & Secondary), the Diploma, and the Degree Programmes.
PPM also liaises with MOE and NTU on programme-related issues and with Academic Groups to meet all ITP programme needs. PPM advises Board of Examiners on matters pertaining to student teachers' academic performance and recognition schemes. PPM organizes Orientation Programmes for new student teachers.
To supplement the ITP curriculum, Enrichment Programmes and seminars are organized to raise the level of student teachers' awareness in National Education & Values and enhance 21st Century student teachers' competencies.
PPM is led by Associate Dean, A/P Lim Kam Ming with the assistance of the programme sub-deans (PGDE, Diploma and Degree). The unit is also supported by an Assistant Head, Ms Jessica Wong and her team.
