Mishelle is a Registered Clinical Psychologist and Supervisor both in Singapore and in Australia. She joined NIE as the NIE Wellness Centre Manager in July 2016. Prior to this role, she worked as the Senior Clinical Psychologist for a Volunteer Welfare Organisation in Singapore, Clarity. She provided supervision for staff and students, ensured Clarity’s compliance with professional conduct and code of ethics, provided training both internally and externally, as well as saw individual clients for psychotherapy.
Mishelle has also worked as an Associate Lecturer at James Cook University (Singapore Campus) where she supervised students undertaking their Master in Clinical Psychology practicum placements, delivered lectures at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels and supervised fourth year honours thesis projects. In Australia, she has worked in a Drug Health Psychology Team as a Clinical Psychologist and Team Leader, as well as in private practice. Her areas of clinical interest include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, adolescents and young people, Drug and Alcohol.
