Before Hye-Eun Chu Joined the NIE as an assistant professor in April 2008, she had worked for 3 years as a post doctoral research fellow in the Science and Mathematics Education Centre, Curtin University of Technology, Australia. Her appointment was funded by research grants from Dankook University and the Korean Research Foundation. She has worked on students’ conceptual understanding and the development of two-tier diagnostic tests in physics with Professor David Treagust during her post doctoral research studies. She obtained her BSc, MSc and Doctor of Education degree from Dankook University, Korea. Dr Chu has taught pre-service teachers and graduate courses in Korea as well as graduate courses in Australia.
