Short Bio

Dr. Stephen Burns graduated from Loughborough University in the UK with a PhD in Exercise Physiology. He taught and researched at the University of Texas at El Paso in the US for one year before going on to complete postdoctoral studies in childhood obesity and insulin resistance at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. He joined the National Institute of Education in July 2009. He is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine.
