> US Study Trip to Stanford University and Boston College

Prof Goh Kim Chuan and Assoc Prof Sylvia Chong, Head and Deputy Head of the Office of Academic Quality Management visited Stanford University School of Education (SUSE), California, USA from 19 – 21 Oct, 2009. The purpose of the visit is to learn from the evaluation models and quality management strategies adopted by established teacher education institutions. Afterwhich, they ended their study trip with a sharing session with Professors Larry Ludlow and Joseph Pedulla of Lynch School of Education, Boston College.

> Study Visit to Hong Kong

 The Office of Academic Quality Management (OAQM), together with Prof Lee Wing On (Dean/Education Research), visited a few Hong Kong institutions recently to learn about their academic quality mechanisms, how they translate to institutional enhancements as well as factors and good practices that contribute to an effective audit framework.   Hong Kong was chosen for this study visit due to its strong culture and experience in conducting quality audits in its higher education institutions in a bid to ensure public accountability and to entrench Hong Kong as an education hub in the region.
