The Centre of Excellence in Learning Innovation (COELI) is a joint collaboration between NIE Singapore and SRI International with the following functions and responsibilities:
- Carry out knowledge transfer of innovation processes in education between the institutions
- Look into areas to refine, adapt and evaluate Singapore’s Math and Science curricula materials in the US
- Conduct research programmes and projects in the learning sciences and in Interactive and Digital Media
We recognise that research, innovation and adoption are intrinsically tied for any highly successful programme. Therefore, COELI’s objectives are aligned to NIE’s research goals, by focusing on the knowledge transfer of education innovation and its subsequent adoption.
