Springer Education Innovation Book Series

There has been global interest in the success of Singapore’s education system. The sterling performance of Singapore students in international studies such as TIMSS, PIRLS and PISA is common knowledge among international educational research, policy and practice communities, placing Singapore on par with other more advanced economies such as Finland, Japan and Korea.

The Education Innovation Book Series, published by Springer, will delve into the details of the Singapore education system and document insights and lessons learned based on research evidence. Drawing on knowledge and research done both internationally and locally, the volumes in the series will compare and synthesise Singapore’s experience with those of successful systems around the world.

Each volume in the series will make reference to current and past education innovations over the last 40 years, as well as relevant East Asian and international examples. Primary focus is given to pedagogy and classroom practices; education policy formulation and implementation; school and instructional leadership; and the context and interface between education research, policy and practice which make these innovations possible.
