VPA offers programmes at degree, diploma, and postgraduate diploma levels which aim to provide student teachers with theory and methodology for designing and conducting art education lessons.

Juneo Lee
BFA Tas, MA W Syd, DipFA LASALLE-SIA

He is an artist and educator whose research interests include issues of post-colonial identity in visual representation and the aspect of "bridging" or "transfer" of knowledge through thinking and learning process using art. He previously taught at LASALLE-SIA College of the Arts and a local secondary school. Lee has regularly exhibited his artworks and had three solo exhibitions in both Singapore and Australia. He is presently doing a PhD programme in the visual arts at the Nanyang Technological University.

Twardzik Ching Chor Leng

Master of Fine Arts Degree (University of Regina, Canada)

Twardzik Ching Chor Leng has been practising Installation art and Land art for more than 10 years. She has exhibited extensively in group and solo exhibitions internationally and locally. Founder of the arts group Landing Space that is active in promoting Land Art in Singapore, she is also an independent curator as well as a member of WITA (Women in the Arts). A regular recipient of meritorious awards and scholarships including the Hanna Kristmanson Ceramic Scholarship, the Ceramics Canada Award, and the Crown Life Entrance Award, she has recently been nominated for the President's Young Talent Award 2009.

Public commissions of Leng's work include an installation at the Esplanade in 2003, the Singapore Art Show 2005 at City Link Mall and at the Singapore Management University. The National Museum of Singapore has also commissioned her to create public interactive art works in 2006, 2007 & 2008. She has been invited to exhibit her work at the National Institute of Education Gallery and the Singapore Art Museum in 2009. Corporate collectors of her work include Crown Life Canada and the University of Regina.

Leng holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Regina, Canada, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics and a Diploma in Ceramic Arts from Alberta College of Art and Design, Canada. She has lectured in Lasalle College of the Arts and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). She was the Head of Fine Arts at the NUS High School of Maths & Science from 2004-2009. In 2009, she joined the National Institute of Education (NIE) as a lecturer.

 


 

Paul Lincoln 
MFA Royal Melb Inst of Tech, DipVisual Arts LASALLE-SIA Coll of Arts

Art maker, educator and Georgette Chen scholarship recipient, Paul received a BFA (Painting) from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia in 1999 and is currently lecturing digital media in NIE. Formerly from the School of Multimedia Art, Lasalle-SIA College of the Arts, Singapore and primarily interested in social themes in contemporary Singapore, developments in art and technology, mixed reality technologies and human - computer interaction, Paul implements formalistic and comparative language in his work. Notable exhibitions include video based screenings at Future Cinema , ZKM, Germany (2002) and Fringe Screenings at ICA, England, (2000) Shot in the Face at Earl Lu Gallery, Singapore (2002) and interactive based works for MY Millennium Centre, Canada (2001) and Nokia Singapore Art - Cyberarts exhibition, Singapore Art Museum, Singapore (2001). His most recent endeavours have been in the artistic direction of Mixed Reality Technology with Dr Adrian D Cheok of Mixed Reality Lab, National University of Singapore and they recently exhibited at the Festival Ars Electronica 2002, Futurelab - Ars Electronica Centre, Austria (2002) and at GRAPHITE 2003, Australia (2003).
