  • The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Research Assistant on a 24-month contract at the Office of Teacher Education

    Project Title:
    Nonlinear Pedagogy and its impact on the learning process during the acquisition of a sports skill

    Project Introduction: The purpose of the project is to determine the effect of Nonlinear Pedagogy on how learners acquire a sports skill. The emphasis is on examining coordination changes as a function of practice. Quantitative and qualitative data will be collected to determine the impact of Nonlinear Pedagogy on the acquisition of a multi-articular movement skill. 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in the area of Sports Science 
    • Experience in undertaking research pertaining to examining coordination in a sports science setting
    • Be familiar with the work of Nonlinear Pedagogy
    • Be competent in statistics
    • Some familiarity in using R or Matlab will be preferred. 
    • Responsible and hardworking 
  • The Full-time RA will be required to specifically do the following tasks: 

    1. Manage the research project 
    2. Data collection 
    3. Collecting, collating and analyzing data 
    4. Prepare reports and papers together with the Primary Investigator 
    5. Assist in general administrative support work
