What is the objective of NTU Alumni Course Credit?
To promote lifelong learning and encourage alumni to acquire deep skills in a timely, accessible manner through modularised and technology-enhanced learning programmes,
NTU is providing all alumni with NTU Alumni Course Credit.
The launch of the NTU Alumni Course Credit seeks to empower NTU alumni to undertake reskilling, upskilling and deep-skilling efforts in order to stay relevant in the
ever-changing global workforce.
Who is eligible to receive the credits? What is the course credit amount offered?
All NTU/NIE alumni (students who graduated with a diploma/degree from any of the undergraduate/postgraduate programmes offered
by NTU/NIE) are eligible to receive the NTU Alumni Course Credit, regardless of nationality. Each alumnus will receive a one-time course credit of S$1,600.00.
When can I start utilising my NTU Alumni Course Credit?
NTU alumni may utilise the NTU Alumni Course Credit on courses from 1 November 2017 onwards.
What courses can I enrol in using the NTU Alumni Course Credit?
All NTU alumni will be able to enrol in all courses offered by all NTU-CET units from 1 July 2019. You may visit the website here for more information
on NTU-CET units and their course offerings.
I don’t think I want to take up any courses in NTU. Can I exchange the credits for cash or use them for something else?
NTU Alumni Course Credit can only be used to pay for course fees when enrolling in
NTU-CET courses. The available credits cannot be converted into cash.
Will NTU take my credits back if I don’t utilise them within a certain period?
This one-time $1,600 course credit given is perpetual. The university will review this initiative at the end of the five-year
period to better respond to the situation at that time and ensure relevancy for our alumni.
How can I use NTU Alumni Course Credit to pay for the course fee?
From 1 July 2019, NTU alumni may utilise their course credit of S$1,600.00 to co-pay up to 50% of the nett fee (exclusive of prevailing GST)
payable for courses with starting date from 1 July 2019 onwards. There will be no administrative fee involved for the use of NTU Alumni Course Credit on courses with starting date from 1 July 2019 onwards.
Please refer to the tables below for the use of NTU Alumni Course Credit on 2 scenarios. All fees stated are in SGD and exclusive of 7% GST.
Am I guaranteed a spot in the course of my choice upon registration?
Availability of places and other terms and conditions, are subject to available capacity and granted at the sole discretion of the course organiser.
It is advisable to check with the course organiser for details.
Are there any other fees/charges/tax involved?
There will be GST charged on full course fee for each course. The course credits of S$1,600 cannot be used to offset the GST.
Note: NTU Alumni Course Credit
is only applicable for self-sponsored participant.
For enrolling in PaCE@NTU courses, if I use the NTU Alumni Course Credit, will I still be eligible for any additional discount(s) (E.g. 20% alumni discount, 10% group discount, NTUC affiliation etc.)?

(E.g. 20% alumni discount, 10% group discount, NTUC affiliation etc.).
For Standard (Non-funded) Courses,
- If you choose to use the NTU Alumni Course Credit, you will not be allowed to tap on other discount(s).
- If you choose NOT to use the NTU Alumni Course Credit, you will still be eligible for other discount(s) on short courses.
Will my NTU Alumni Course Credit be refunded if I withdraw from the course?
Cancellation policy applies differently for each NTU-CET course organisers. It is advisable to check with the respective organiser before
you apply for the course. For courses administered under PaCE@NTU, all fees including NTU Alumni Course Credit are non-refundable upon confirmation of your attendance. You may refer to (point 7) on our Cancellation & Refund Policy.
