Topic
This workshop is to provide an overview of the basic functions of SPSS, a widely-used statistical software programme, for statistical analyses in quantitative research. Participants will learn the basic features of SPSS and will be taken step-by-step, to learn how to do data coding, data inputting/importing and data analysis, as well as how to scientifically interpret the analysis results. The target audience should have a basic understanding of statistics.
Presenter
Dr Chen Wenli is an Assistant Professor with the Learning Sciences and Technologies Academic Group and a faculty researcher with Learning Sciences Lab. She has been doing quantitative and qualitative research in the areas of learning sciences and communication studies and has published more than 60 papers, including five award-winning publications. Dr Chen teaches quantitative methodology and statistical analysis at NIE and NTU. She is a research consultant for a number of schools in Singapore.
