NIE Graduate Student Day 2015
on 31 October 2015 (Saturday)
This year marks the 4th Graduate Student Day (GSD) organized by the Office of Graduate Studies and Professional Learning of the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University
The theme for GSD 2015 is
“Learning and Research: Believing and Achieving“
Do give some thought to this very inclusive theme, and consider participating in the 3-Minute Thesis Competition, or giving a poster or oral presentation at the GSD 2015.
“But I’m not an NIE graduate student, can I still attend?”
Of course! If you are not an NIE graduate student, but would like to visit us, soak in the academic atmosphere or just mingle with other graduate students, just register and come along. You are very welcome to participate by sitting in at the presentations. We especially welcome undergraduates who have in mind plans to do graduate studies. Come and see what your seniors at NIE are working on and have achieved, and speak to them about graduate life and the experience of working on a MA, EdD or PhD thesis! Watch them as they brave their critical audience who scrutinise their ideas. This is what intellectual and scholarly life is all about: a community of inquiry. People trading ideas. Iron sharpening iron. We will also have NIE staff around whom you can speak to about graduate studies at NIE.
Registration and Abstract Submission are open now!
