15th Request for Proposal for MOE Academies Fund

The Office of Education Research (OER) is pleased to announce the 15th Request for Proposal (RFP). Within the third tranche of the Educational Research Funding Programme (ERFP) FY2013-2017, the MOE Academies Fund has been set aside to support MOE Academies' projects in order to enhance teacher expertise and professionalism.
The 15th RFP will focus on: (I) Research Focus on Language and Literacy, Bilingualism and Communication; and (II) System Studies in Pedagogies & Educational Outcomes – CORE Research Programme.
The MOE Academies Fund (MAF) is available to
(I) Officers from the four MOE Academies – Academy of Singapore Teachers (AST), English Language Institute of Singapore (ELIS), Physical Education and Sports Teacher Academy (PESTA) and Singapore Teachers’ Academy for the aRts (STAR) – as well as the Malay Language Centre of Singapore (MLCS) and Umar Pulavar Tamil Language Centre (UPTLC).
(II) Researchers in NIE (including MOE secondees), NUS, NTU, SMU, SIT, SUTD, UniSIM and polytechnics whose proposals can meet the needs of the MOE Academies or Language Centres, i.e. the organisations listed in (I).
Expression of Interest
Applicants interested in applying for MAF are to complete and send the Expression of Interest template to firstname.lastname@example.org before 14 December 2015. The Expression of Interest template can be downloaded here. Expression of interests will be assessed based on their relevance to Academies/Languages Centres. Applicants are therefore encouraged to contact and discuss their proposals with Academies/Language Centres to ensure that their proposed projects meet their needs. Shortlisted applicants will be notified and invited to submit a full proposal.
NIE applicants are encouraged to attend a briefing session to find out more about the MAF grant application and evaluation process. Please RSVP your attendance to email@example.com as soon as possible.
