Dr Bacsal Rhoda Myra Garces invited to be the Director of Reading Resources of a UK-based NGO - Think Equal

Through her work on OER project entitled “Reading Lives and Practices of Singapore Teachers and the Use of Multicultural Children's Literature to Promote Socio-emotional Learning”, Dr Bacsal Rhoda Myra Garces, Assistant Professor at Early Childhood & Special Needs Education Academic Group of NIE, has been invited to be the Director of Reading Resources of a UK-based NGO - Think Equal.
Think Equal is supported by luminaries such as Sir Ken Robinson, Dr Marc Bracket, Director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence and Professor in the Child Study Center at Yale University, former president of Malawi Joyce Banda and other Hollywood celebrities such as Meryl Streep and Susan Sarandon. Think Equal aims to introduce social and emotional learning through picture books in 53 schools across 15 countries and will be launched in 23,000 schools in Sri Lanka by 2018.
