Dr Jennifer Pei-Ling Tan's Participation in Seminars and Workshops

Dr Jennifer Pei-Ling Tan, Research Scientist in OER, took part in a series of symposiums, keynotes and workshops in the months October and November 2015.
Invited as a panelist at a symposium organised by The British Council Singapore on 22 October 2015, Dr Tan gave a presentation entitled "From Input to Implementation: Closing the Loop in Teacher Development". The symposium on 21st Century Competencies and Teacher Professional Development was attended by 300 Singapore and international education leaders and professional development providers.
This was followed by two keynote addresses. The first, entitled “Fostering Innovation and Creativity in Teaching and Learning”, was delivered at the 1st International Conference in Education and Training, Faculty of Education Science, State University of Malang, Indonesia, on 6 November 2015. It was attended by 1500 academics, education practitioners, policymakers and university students.
The second, which took place on 8 November 2015 at The Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FORBISIA) Heads Conference 2015, ‘Be Inspired!’ http://events.tts.edu.sg/fobisia-heads-conference, addressed the topic of understanding and fostering collaborative creativity and problem-solving competencies in everyday teaching and learning dialogues. It was attended by Heads and Senior Leaders of the international schools.
On 19 November, Dr Tan conducted a workshop entitled “Leading Pedagogical Innovations for 21st Century Competencies and Learning" to an audience of 30 people comprising teachers and HODs from the Millennia Institute. During the workshop, Dr Tan spoke about Change Management, Change Leadership, Managing Challenges in Change and Transformational Leadership.
