Dr Leong Wei Shin invited to give a presentation at annual UNESCO meeting in Bangkok-Thailand

Dr Leong Wei Shin of Curriculum, Teaching and Learning Academic Group was invited to provide an overview on the “Professional Learning of Assessment in Singaporean Schools”. This presentation was based on his two years professional development work on formative assessment with Singaporean teachers across more than 10 primary and secondary schools. Dr Leong presented his findings via Skype at the 3rd Annual Meeting of the Network on Education Quality Monitoring in the Asia-Pacific (NEQMAP), organised by UNESCO on 10 December 2015. His presentation was well-received by the NEQMP steering group members and institutional members from Asia-Pacific regions.
Activities of NEQMAP focus on knowledge sharing, research and capacity building on issues relating to student learning assessment to alignment of assessment with curriculum and pedagogy. As a designate contact point for NEQMAP, Dr Leong welcomes colleagues from NIE, MOE and Singapore schools to join in this regional forum for exchanging of expertise, experiences and lessons.
