Most kids are immersed in technology these days, from tabs to smartphones, they learn to use them before they can even walk.
A study by National Institute of Education, Singapore, suggests that 65% of kids now get access to gadgets before they reach three, with around 50% using them for educational activities.
Taking note of the growing interests, many brands are introducing specially tailored just-for-kids gadgets in the Indian market. According to Bhanu Kharbanda of Maya Toys, gadgets are gradually taking over traditional games
“Video games and educational gadgets top the list. Even foreign brands are now launching their products here,” he adds.
A recent report by Euromonitor states that hi-tech electronic toys and gaming gadgets are supporting value sales in the Indian market, while educational toys are gaining popularity among educated working parents.
