The Games Village of the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) was relocated to the Nanyang Technological University in August 2008 after soaring construction costs delayed the completion of the University Town at the National University of Singapore, the original Games Village.

The 11 hostels that will house the athletes and officials are currently being upgraded, with lights being replaced and air-conditioners being installed in each room, among other renovations.

In addition, the surfaces of the six tennis courts at the National Institute of Education (NIE) have been relaid. These courts will be used as a training facility during the Games.

The acoustics and ventilation at the main dining hall in the Village Square at the NIE campus has been improved. More seats have been added to the dining area as well.
