LSL staff won two awards at 17th Global Chinese Conference on Computers in Education

LSL did it again! At the 17th Global Conference on Computers in Education (GCCCE) held in Beijing in May 27-31, 2013, our staff won two Outstanding Paper Awards under different categories, namely,

Outstanding Paper Award (under the “Digital Classroom, Mobile and Ubiquitous Learning” sub-conference)
“Mobile technology-assisted personalized learning in science inquiry”

Outstanding Teacher Paper Award (under “Teachers’ Forum”)
“Seamless language learning through contextual interactions” (Note: This is a Chinese paper.)

GCCCE is an annual international bilingual conference organised by Global Chinese Society for Computers in Education (GCSCE). In the past 17 years, GCCCE has been held respectively in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Chung-Li, Beijing, Nanjing, Hawaii, Michigan, Taipei, Hangzhou and Kenting. It has now been recognised as a major conference for researchers and educators around the world who are interested in Information Communication Technology (ICT) in Education in the (but not restricted to) Chinese communities. In this year, GCCCE is hosted by Peking University, with more than 300 participants from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Singapore, USA, Canada and Germany.
