In the weekly programme of “VoicesTODAY” telecasted on 14 March 2013 at 9pm, the hosts chatted with parents in Singapore and NIE’s academic expert, Dr Manu Kapur, Head of Learning Sciences Lab (LSL), about the education system in Finland and Singapore’s education system.
Speaking from his experience in education research and in the capacity of Head/LSL at NIE, Dr Kapur discussed with the hosts about the differences between the two country’s education systems; and the adaptability of either into a country’s context. In addition, they also talked about the challenges that Singapore teachers face and the emphasis on high-stakes examinations here.
