Through their commitment and application of pedagogical skills and experiences in unique circumstances experienced at their workplace, they brought about great learning outcomes for their students, their family and peers around them through their innovations.

About the Leading Foundation Teacher Award
The Leading Foundation Teacher Award were the first awards in Singapore, founded in 2013, to honour excellence in both early childhood and special needs educators. The awards, sponsored by The Leading Foundation, were possible through donations from Mr Lim Siong Guan and Ms Joanne Lim, co-authors of the books “The Leader, The Teacher & You” and “Winning with Honour”. The National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore and the Community Foundation of Singapore (CFS) administered the inaugural ceremony for The Leading Foundation Teacher Award in 2014.

Nominees of the awards include edu-carers, pre-school educators, special school educators, and Allied Educators (Learning & Behavioural Support). A panel of experts from the NIE, Ministry of Education and the Association for Early Childhood Educators (Singapore) asses these nominations. The judges look for exemplary instances of how the nominees consistently demonstrate exceptional dedication and go above the call of duty to care for their young charges’ well-being to make an extraordinary difference in their lives and the lives of their families.
