The NIE Teachers' Investiture Ceremony January 2015

The National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore celebrates its first graduation of student teachers for 2015 on Friday, 16 January 2015 at 3.00 pm.

NIE’s celebrations will see a total of 449 graduands from the NIE Teachers’ Investiture Ceremony (TIC) held at the Nanyang Auditorium, NTU. Of the total, 15 teachers will graduate from the part-time Bachelor of Education programme. This ceremony marks the inaugural cohort for the year 2015.

NIE is also pleased to welcome Mr Heng Swee Keat, Minister for Education who will grace the ceremony as Guest of Honour. Mr Heng will award 10 outstanding teachers with prizes for their academic achievements at the ceremony.

Amongst the prize winners, 25-year-old Ms Tang Li Hui Donica is the only recipient who will receive two prizes – they are, the Singapore Teachers’ Union Book Prize and Association of Mathematics Educators Book Prize. 26-year-old Ms Ou Niangtai Janice is the Valedictorian of the graduating cohort.
