Ang Liang Peng joined the education service in 1989, upon receiving his Diploma in Education at the then Institute of Education. He was a senior education officer with the Ministry of Education prior to joining the Asian Languages and Cultures (ALC) Academic Group at National Institute of Education in 2004. He is currently the Programme Leader for time-tabling in ALC.
Liang Peng specializes in the area of language testing and assessment; and teaching of language skills, both for pre-service and higher degree programmes. His current research interest lies in the field of Chinese as a second language testing and assessment.
Liang Peng has been serving in the Curriculum Review Committees in Primary Schools Chinese Language Syllabus, Secondary Schools Chinese (Special Programme) Syllabus and GCE ‘A’ Level Chinese Language Syllabuses at the Ministry of Education. He has been invited to conduct courses and workshops on teaching and assessment in Confucius Institute at NTU and a number of school clusters and schools at MOE.
