  • Dr. Tay-Lim is a lecturer with the National Institute of Education. She conducts courses for pre-service and in-service early childhood and primary school teachers in various NIE and professional development programmes. Her research interests include young children's well-being and critical thinking skills, school transitions,  inclusive education, and classroom management practices.

    1. Teach in various NIE's programs - e.g. Diploma in Education, BA/BSc (Education), Postgraduate Diploma in Education, Master in Education (Early Childhood), Early Childhood Minor Degree and Advanced Diploma in Teaching Early Primary Years
    2. Courses taught included the following: Classroom Management, Supporting Diversity and Inclusive Education, Pedagogical Practices, Parent Engagement, and Issues and Trends in Early Childhood Education

  • Co-supervisor for the MEd (Early Childhood) program

    • Educational Research Association of Singapore (ERAS) Gold medal Award - for outstanding performance in the NIE’s MEd Program (by coursework and dissertation)
    • Dean’s Commendation for Research – recognizing excellence in research by NIE graduate students for the PhD category
